Our terms and conditions

Here are our terms and conditions which you agree to in using the TaxSheets platform (2/9/2021):

  • Hatton Software Ltd - trading as TaxSheets (We) cannot be held liable for any inacurracy with the figures submitted to HMRC (including the processes and calculations used to extract the data from your spreadsheets). You accept that you remain responsible for checking the quality of these prior to their submission. Our tool allows you to see a "Tax picture" and this is provided by HMRC directly. If you notice an unexpected issue with your figures in this picture you should analyse where the issue has occurred and make rectifications.
  • We do not guarantee any delivery of notification reminders to either SMS or Email platforms. Whilst we will endeavour to deliver them to you, due to external third party settings these are not always guaranteed. As such, you agree to take full responsibility for meeting your requirements and this includes your quarterly business submissions and the due dates for each period (Practically we advise you to keep track of your due dates in a calendar).
  • We use various third parties (listed on our Privacy page) as part of your dealings with us. We are not held liable in the event of a data breach or security issue relating to their platforms.
  • In the event of a successful legal claim, TaxSheets is limited in liability to the cost paid by the user for using our platform and service for the period of 1 year.
  • At no point are our spreadsheets considered "Accounting software" or "accounting advice". You are required to make sure the spreadsheets meet your own requirements and verify any data uploaded matches your expectations.
  • Access to our system is through a secure password and 2 factor authentication. Access to your account should be restricted to yourself and/or a person handling your accounts.
  • We may contact you by email in the event of important updates or security issues etc. These will be essential and use of our system requires that you accept receiving these. Should you not wish to receive these emails you will need to terminate your account. We will only send them when it is important and not often. Optional emails (such as Notifications) can be deactivated within your account area.
  • Any accounts that are not verified will be removed from our system after 3 days. If you do not receive the verification email, please check your spam/junk folder or contact us.
  • We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time.
